22nd March 2026 – Message from the Executive Committee
Following the Executive meeting on Friday night the May Day Races will take place this year at Gamelsby.
It was also agreed that a temporary change to rule 54.6 and 84 Part P would come in to effect from the 1st April. These changes would be applied for the 2026 season and would be further discussed at the December meeting whereby if it was felt appropriate the changes would then be presented to the AGM in 2027 for the members to decide whether it should be permanent or it should revert back to how it was.
Changes are as follows –
Current Rule
54.6 Admission shall be all to pay and entries must be free. Agricultural and horticultural shows and shows with classes of Foxhounds from local packs may charge full admission however entries must be free.
Change to:
54.6 Admission shall be all to pay and entries must be free with the exception of All In Races where the charge will be £1 for entry. Agricultural and horticultural shows and shows with classes of Foxhounds from local packs may charge full admission however entries must be free.
Current Rule
P. ALL-IN.
Open to all hounds and puppies registered with the Association, but no Promoter may hold an All-In race unless he has included at least one race in categories B – J or L – N, except up to 1st May. Entry free, no prize money, and no betting allowed. (15 – 35 minutes).
