Ambleside Sports – Usual entry gate, any kennel entering a hound will receive 1 x £10 returned

Ings – this year will be demonstration races only they will be non-championship races. There will be different grades on the day depending on the number of hounds entered and there will be prizes for the winning hounds.

Grasmere Sports – will be free entry all HRA supporters must enter by the North Gate on the main road through Grasmere to get free entry and all you need to say is that you are part of the HRA. If you enter by any other gate then you will be charged automatically for the car parking.

Rydal Show – as usual discount tickets available on line.

A big thank you to Carlisle and Penrith Area for hosting the 2026 Bitch Produce races and all those who helped on the day. Many congratulations to all those who won or got tickets on the day. Special well done to Geoff, Ian, Tony and Zack for winning the Bitch Produce race with thier hound Azalia and well done to Geoff for breeding the bitch as well.

Can any promoter wishing to host the August Premier Races on the 11th August please have any nomination with the Secretary by the 8th July please.

Given the predicted very high temperatures forcast for Thursday (31Degrees) the Cockermouth and Workington Area Committee made a request to the Executive Committee to allow the planned trails on Thursday to be moved to Friday when the temperature is predicted to drop along with some rain forcast as well. This request was made in the best interests of the hounds. Following consultation, the Executive Committee approved this move. Therefore the trails planned for Thursday will take place on Friday at a slightly later time of 6.30pm.

Due to multiple grade entries and people being unaware of what hounds will run in each race until the day.  You can put a first and a second choice down, the first hound will get the points if it runs in the race you have stated and the second choice will get 0 points. If your first choice doesnt run the points will go to second choice (hope this makes sense).

The road is closed between the A5086 near Cockermouth and the A591 near Keswick due to the incident involving two vehicles.
