Over the last few months the Association has been working with Millcroft Vets to establish a reduction in Vet fees for any member of the HRA who chooses to use Millcroft Vets. Please see details on the advert below. Anyone wishing to use this service will need to have a membership card which they will need to present to the Vets when they visit. Membership Cards can be obtained from myself.

21st July 2025 – Grasmere Sports 2025 – reduced price tickets

HRA members usually get access to reduced price tickets for Grasmere Sports. Last year they provided a number of books of tickets which i sold on their behalf. This year the system is slightly different as they have had to introduce new regulations following changes in the law regarding advance selling of tickets. As an exception they have agreed to provide me with a number of tickets which i have had to print off, all have a unique code attached so cannot be photocopied. Anyone wishing reduced price tickets must contact me on order to get these it will be on a first come first serve basis as i am not guaranteed to get additional tickets once they are sold. So the earlier people get them then if i need to request more they will have time to send these through to me. Adults will be £8.00 and Children will be £5. You will need to present these at the North Gate (which is where we normally enter) and you will need to have some sort of proof of identity with you (drivers licence perhaps).

Thanks Fiona

18th July 2025 – Message from Whitehaven Area

Cold Fell Access.

The Cold Fell road will be closed at both ends next tuesday (22 July) and access can only be gained by travelling through either Wilton or Haile. If you are coming from the North and are not familiar with this route, turn left at the third roundabout in Egremont then immediately (20 yards) turn left again. It’s 3 miles up to the fell road through Wilton. When you get to the cattle grid turn left and you are nearly there.

 Whitehaven Area.
