Expressions of Interest are also sought from any Area wishing to Host the 2026 International Hound Trails, due to be held on Saturday 20th June.

As we are about to start the season on the 1st April can I remind everyone to please notify the secretary if there are any changes to your kennel, hounds leaving, hounds coming in to your kennel, also if your hound does not return on the trail and is still out at the end of the days racing or if in deed you have a hound missing from your kennel at any time. Please let me know in good time.

The only rule that has changed this season related to All In races where you will need to pay £1 to enter your hound if you choose to run in that race.

Following the Executive meeting on Friday night the May Day Races will take place this year at Gamelsby.

It was also agreed that a temporary change to rule 54.6 and 84 Part P would come in to effect from the 1st April. These changes would be applied for the 2026 season and would be further discussed at the December meeting whereby if it was felt appropriate the changes would then be presented to the AGM in 2027 for the members to decide whether it should be permanent or it should revert back to how it was.

Changes are as follows –

54.6 Admission shall be all to pay and entries must be free. Agricultural and horticultural shows and shows with classes of Foxhounds from local packs may charge full admission however entries must be free.

Change to:
