Area Annual General Meetings – Just a reminder of the dates – they are open to all members and the purpose of the meeting is to listen to members about how they feel the sport is going and for members to submit any Notices of Motion regarding any changes they would like to see. There is always plenty of chatter on the field so people need to come forward with suggestions. Any suggestions need to be with the secretary and supported by two members three days in advance of the meeting taking place. You need to attend the Area AGM to put your proposal forward and explain the thinking behind the proposed change. Those that are approved locally will go straight to the AGM in February. Recommendations can be made at the meeting and these would go to the December Meeting where they would be voted on and if past would also then go to the AGM in February. These meetings are for the members to influence how the sport is run.

Promoters will also not have to pay the 50p per book maker attendance at each race meeting. All other subs will remain the same.

The Executive are also planning to submit a Notice of Motion regarding the establishment of a Fixture Committee with the power to manage the number of fixtures per season. This committee will be different from previous Fixture Committee’s in that it will have the power to refuse fixtures. The Executive Committee have asked that if anyone has any suggestions regarding how this would work as it will need accompanying guidelines could they please email Edward Crosby directly with those suggestions his email is – ecrosby2854@gmail.com
