Just a reminder that anyone attending the races on Sunday at Loweswater Show, the entrance fee to the races is the usual £4 which gets you in to the races only, parking will be sign posted up to the left where we normally park. Anyone who wishes to attend the show field can get a lolly pop stick from the entry car and this will give you entrance to the show at a reduced price (normal price £8) but you will be able to get in for £4. There will also be limited refreshments on the actual race field itself (tea/coffee/cakes).

Sports Day – 30 August

Free Entry will be by the North Gate on the A591, thats the first gate you come to if travelling from Keswick. There’ll be Crook YFC on that gate to welcome you. Usual parking place by the main road.

Entry to the field is free so you don’t need any tickets to get in. If any vehicles go in through other gates they will get charged so please ensure that you use this gate only. Pedestrians won’t get charged regardless of gate. All you need to do is to say to the “greeters” that you are “With the HRA” and that’s it!

Ambleside Sports – Usual entry gate, any kennel entering a hound will receive 1 x £10 returned

Ings – this year will be demonstration races only they will be non-championship races. There will be different grades on the day depending on the number of hounds entered and there will be prizes for the winning hounds.

Grasmere Sports – will be free entry all HRA supporters must enter by the North Gate on the main road through Grasmere to get free entry and all you need to say is that you are part of the HRA. If you enter by any other gate then you will be charged automatically for the car parking.

Rydal Show – as usual discount tickets available on line.

A big thank you to Carlisle and Penrith Area for hosting the 2026 Bitch Produce races and all those who helped on the day. Many congratulations to all those who won or got tickets on the day. Special well done to Geoff, Ian, Tony and Zack for winning the Bitch Produce race with thier hound Azalia and well done to Geoff for breeding the bitch as well.

Can any promoter wishing to host the August Premier Races on the 11th August please have any nomination with the Secretary by the 8th July please.
