Report. Well the wind blew but only slightly, and you could see Blackpool Tower and Millom’s top trainer , much to his ‘delight’, 10/1 and not a penny on , won with Ladybird  who  responded well to the ‘ whistle’ ( all bar Jimmy) and beat Lady Bethan by a couple of lengths with the ticketing hounds close up.

The pup trail and a major upset when the well odds on Jenny’s Aura suffered a rare defeat . Miterdale Rusty won with plenty in hand , Overwater Hally was second and Jenny’s  back in third.

The non- winners and a 1- 2 3 -5 for the Napier kennel , Foxparke Fandando – Homeward Dude and Peggy Sue filled the first three places , the ‘Boss’ was missing and Robin and Neil and I quote ‘ showed her how it’s done’. I suppose you could call it a ‘ Purple Parade.

Flawless held on for a  head victory over Santino in the restricted with Great Gable and Highness a close up third and fourth.

In the veterans and the favourite gave the lone bookie a clear book – Simply Rascal came clear on the uphill finish to win comfortably from Kerrymore and Artisan.

The trails were in memory of Dougie McClean and he would have fully appreciated them!
