4th August 2024 – message from the Executive Committee Premier Trails

The Executive Committee would like to thank Aspatria and Wigton Area for hosting the forth coming Premier Trails on Saturday the 10th August. They would also like to thank the farmers and land owners for allowing the trails to take place and for those who have sponsored the Trails. Holmen Iggesund have provided sponsorship for the last three years so a big thank you to them.

9th July 2024 – Message re TV filming last year at Buttermere

For those who can remember there was a film crew from Channel Five who were doing a film about hound trailing last year and they had been following Sarah Harper and her hounds. This program will be aired on the 24th July at 8.00pm on Channel Five for those who would like to watch the program it will be part of the Cumbria: The Lakes and the Coast program.

9th July 2024 – Keswick Supports

The Keswick Supporters would like to thank Mike Watson for his generous donation towards the Latrigg Trails it was very much appreciated. The Committee would like to thank all those who helped and all those who supported the trails. We hope everyone enjoyed the trails and the fine weather.

8th July 2024 – Executive Committee

Following last nights meeting Edward Crosby was temporarily elected to the Vice Chairman’s Role he will hold this post until the December Meeting where it will be discussed further. The Executive Committee thanked Andy Horn former Vice Chair for his service over the last few years and wished him well for the future.

The Premier Trails will be hosted by the Aspatria and Wigton Area on behalf of the Hound Trailing Association and will be held at Uldale.

John Bromage who has been the Treasurer for over eight years now is looking to step down anyone interested in taking on the role can they please contact John for an informal chat by close of play 31st July and he will run through what the role entails.

The HTA would like to thank Carlisle and Penrith Area and the Border Supporters for hosting the forth coming Bitch Produce Stake Trails on behalf of the Association which are due to take place on the 13th July 2024. All trails have been sponsored so a huge thank you to all of those generous people and to the land owners and farmers who continue to support hound trailing.

1st July 2024 – Message from Secretary

Please note as from this week anyone requesting Aniseed will need to come to me. Also anyone who has any glass bottles that have been used to supply Aniseed in the past can they please be return to me. I would like to thank Phil for overseeing the supply of Aniseed over recent years on behalf of the HTA.
