I’m going to try and run a knockout style cup instead of just running once for the trophy. This was done in the 60/70’s  and not to my knowledge been done again so there might be a reason for that.
I’ll try and keep it simple, if you want your hound in this competition just let me know we will then pick a random venue on random days depending on entries these could be all weekend trails or every trail if need be, all on the senior race, one dog against the other i.e. if you finish 12th and the dog your against finished anywhere in front of that your out if you don’t run your out if your competitor doesn’t run all you have to do is get round and your through to the next round.

EXAMPLE

Round 1 Kirkland Leaps  Saturday Eagle Rock v Eagle Star. First one in goes into round 2, if Eagle Star doesn’t run for any reason Eagle Rock only has to complete the course to go into round 2, if both hounds don’t run then there both out

Entry is free so I just need you to tell me there names.

Start on May Day End October Trails, amount of rounds dependent on entry’s.

This is me just thinking out loud so any questions give me a shout, my only aim is to generate abit of crack and hopefully have a laugh. 

Names to me before Mayday but asap as to sort how many rounds we will need.

Trophy and prize money for the winner.

Listen: 2024 hound trailing season set to start

It is with regret that i inform you of the sad passing of Sam McConnell. Sam and his wife Sylvia had a few hounds over the years and were regular attenders at the trails. Sam helped out the Area committee and maintained their points competitions. RIP Sam

The Fixture Committee will meet on the 20th February at 7.00pm at the Brewers Fayre, Cockermouth. All promoters of trails in April are encouraged to attend. Just for clarification the Fixture Committee does not have any powers to block fixtures this remains with the individual areas. The Fixture Committee relies on promoters being willing to come together and discuss the forthcoming planned meetings and to be flexible and sensible regarding how these are mapped out so that it is in the best interest of the sport and everyone concerned. All fixtures still have to be approved by the individual area committees.
